Character Information
Country Name: Principality of Sealand
Human Name: Peter Kirkland
Gender: Male
Personality:
Peter was a boy of only twelve and thus, loud and energetic. He was ambitious, a big dreamer, having goals to become a nation so great that even his brothers would bow to him. Being the youngest in the Kirkland family, he is not always taken seriously, often pushed away and ignored. Because of this treatment, Peter has become very anxious about growing up and creating a great nation.
Due to being a child, Peter is picky about food, hates getting up early, doing chores, and the such. He is practically a normal boy, noisy, imaginative, and stubborn. He is quick to get jealous especially when it involves his brothers or his close friends. A few topics will confuse him and other times he can be very, very blunt. Peter also tends to repeat what he hears and will sometimes have a potty-mouth. However, the boy has been around long enough to understand a couple of adult topics. He is not completely oblivious.
If ever angered, Peter will throw harsh insults and have fits. He has a tendency to say things he doesn't mean and can hurt others. Despite feeling guilty each time it happens, he is too stubborn to apologize right away and will often carry the problem on for a few days before finally saying he was sorry. He can also be very vulgar, especially towards his brothers.
Peter is very adventurous. He often explores areas outside and buildings, dangerous or not. He is daring but often finds himself in tight situations. For instance, he would be the type to climb a huge tree but get stuck at the very top, thus become scared and will even begin crying. Afterwords, he would lie and say it was just a dream or he was faking it, just as a typical boy would do. Peter loves to pull tricks on others but can be tricked easily himself. His curiosity also becomes troublesome, as he will sometimes dig deeper and deeper into things he shouldn't and end up in a bad spot.
With girls, Peter is a sweet kid. He is friendly and social and will sometimes play the "little angel" act either to swoon a girl or just to make them think he's completely innocent. With boys, it's different. Peter is quick to be insulted and he will rudely comment back, often gets competitive, and tries to play the "buff-tough" act. Though he can be just as nice to boys as he is to girls, he is more sensitive, which results in negative behavior. With both genders, he does get curious and will sometimes ask inappropriate questions (ex. "how bad does it hurt when you're on your period, miss?").
Peter often claims that he hates his brothers. Sometimes he will even claim he has no brothers and that his looks were just a coincidence. He wants to become a nation that his brothers will bow down to, thus often tries to become independent. Being so young, this usually fails, as he relies on his brothers and his "parents" a lot of the times. The boy is also easily offended if anyone were to actually insult his family as he truly does care for them. Peter also secretly admires America for being able to become independent yet keep such strong relationships with his brothers, especially England.
Overall, Peter is energetic and cheerful kid who can be a stubborn brat if in a bad mood. He does get jealous with others and obsesses over things at times. He will sometimes be extremely emotional and over dramatic, sometimes taking little things like jokes seriously. His life goal is to become someone just as great as his brothers, thus he often asks for people to acknowledge him.

Fears:
ø ThunderWhen Sealand, the actual fort, was still considered Fort Roughs and used for defending England during the second world war, Peter had become too familiar with the sounds of guns, bombs, planes, and so on. However, the boy never felt safe during the war and each sound was like a warning to him. After the war, Peter was still jumpy around loud sounds but gradually relaxed. The only thing that never left was his fear of thunder, as they sounded so much like gunshots and explosions.
ø DarkLightning comes before thunder and lightning tends to be the reason why there are power outs. Thus thunder will usually follow not long after it's pitch black. Another fear Peter had developed during the second war.
ø Losing any of his brothers or friendsWho wouldn't fear losing someone important to them? Peter looks up to his brothers, though he denies this to others, and if any were to ever die or get injured, of course he would get upset. His friends always keep him going and losing even one of them (a few include Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Wy) would break his heart.
What happened before and shortly after the apocalypse?:
Peter never worried about the end of the world. He was told not to, after all. Once, he would question the adults, asking whether he should be scared about it. Each one of them told him not to - perhaps, this was because of his young age. Having a terrified child to deal with is fairly difficult. Even he knew this. So Peter lived through 2012 like it was just another year. He spent his time doing his usual routine. He wanted acknowledgment for Sealand. There was no need to worry about 2012 - all his worries were on his fort.
So when the first disaster strikes, Peter was with his adoptive parents. He had been laying in his bed playing video games, not a single worried thought crossing his mind. He was a child still and most things usually never bothered the boy. But anyone would be curious as to know what's going on when a loud rumbling emitted through the house. Peter had stiffened on his bed, shutting off his game and slowly leaning up. He waited for what felt like forever before finally having the courage to walk out of his room and check the house. He did not see his parents around and worry began to creep up in his thoughts. If they weren't inside, perhaps they would be outside? It was logical to think that and Peter had found his way to the front door about to turn the doorknob. Something kept him from turning the thing. Part of him was warning him that opening the door would be disaster. Another part was worrying that if he just stayed in the house, it would only be worse. In the end, he closed his eyes and turned the doorknob, then leaping outside to get it over with.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary other than the fact it was eerily quiet and not a single person - not even his adoptive parents - were outside despite the rumbling. It was all confusing to the boy. There was no way his parents would just get up and leave him without a word. It was a rare occasion to even be left alone in the house. Yet here he was, practically alone in the neighborhood. But he couldn't believe it. He didn't want to. He walked further outside, looking in all directions - even up. If things weren't already confusing enough, the birds weren't even in sight. So there were no people, no birds, no airplanes... Just Peter. It made him wonder if he was just dreaming. If he woke up, everything would be back to normal. His mama would wake him up smiling so sweetly and his papa would have the same stern look even though he was secretly smiling himself and both his mama and Peter knew. But everything felt so real. He couldn't help walking more and more.
He didn't know if this was his mistake or if this was better than staying inside the house. But the rumbling returned, this time much louder and stronger. The ground was shaking and Peter couldn't keep his balance, falling to his knees. It felt like forever. Peter covered his ears and hoped it was just a dream. The ground continued to shake and if it wasn't already strong enough, it only seemed to get worse. It had to have been an earthquake, he knew this. That was when he worried about getting inside the house. As soon as he tried to crawl back, there was a loud crackling and the house began to fall. He didn't know what to think as he watched the house collapse. He was sure his parents weren't in there but he worried. What if they were? What if he had just overlooked a room or something? Or what if they went back inside as soon as he went outside? He was pulled out of his thoughts when he noticed a tree close by slowly leaning to the side. Within a few seconds, the thing was falling and if Peter hadn't moved at that moment, he might have been crushed. He pulled himself up and ran, holding onto random objects when the earthquake attacked once more. He hoped he was getting away from the thing and not getting closer.
The most confusing and terrifying event in that hour for Peter wasn't the earthquake or its unusual length but a burning figure in the sky. He didn't know what it was at first. He did know the object was only getting closer and closer. It was when he realized that obviously, the thing would not be stopping. It was clear there was no control as to where it was going and would therefore crash. Peter sprinted the opposite direction of where it was coming, only to desperately open a pothole and let himself fall in, not bothering to use the latter, and not caring if he had injured himself in the process. There was a loud, horrible screeching and Peter covered his ears once more, gritting his teeth. Time was cruel, being so slow. When the sounds stopped and everything seemed peaceful, he slowly uncovered his ears and looked up, trying to get a glimpse outside through the hole he fell in. For a moment, he felt safe. Maybe it was all over? And even if it wasn't, he should be safe where he was, despite it being the sewers.
But maybe hiding in the sewers wasn't the smartest idea. He remembered the earthquake and scrambled to his feet, only to yelp in pain when he placed pressure on his foot. His fall had injured his foot and he had not a clue of what to do at that point. He thought of just dealing with the pain and stood up, holding on to the wall. It started out as hopping with one foot and then he began to carefully walk, hissing each time he placed too much pressure on the foot. He didn't know where he was going. He only knew he was underground in the sewers. He felt a bit like Alice from the children's story. He wanted to get somewhere but he didn't care where. As long as it was safe from outside. However, being in the sewers wasn't the best place when there were earthquakes. So when the quake hit again, it seemed as though the roads would collapse right on top of him. Large rocks began to fall and he could even hear the sound of metal falling - perhaps a latter. He began running as fast as he could with the hurt foot, trying to ignore the pain. It was difficult, as he often tripped due to his lack of concentration, his mind full of confusion and fear. Worst of all, it sounded like a war outside, with all the rumbling. This only terrified the boy further and he even began to shout out names of people he knew, as if they'd appear right in front of him if he just yelled loud enough. And then it hit him. He didn't know what but something hit him. It caused him to fall face first and at that point he just sat up and screamed out of fear, frustration, and pain.
He hadn't bothered to get back up. He simply sat there. The earthquake had stopped once more and Peter hoped that was it. It was all a nightmare. He had to be dreaming. There was no way this was real. He would continue telling himself that, curling up in a ball. He heard what sounded like rain outside. It was soft at first but slowly got stronger and stronger. Soon it was loud even underground but Peter thought it was better than the earthquake and the crashing object. He decided he would shelter down here for now, for the rain began to pound so hard, he knew there would be thunder and lightning in only a few minutes. It sounded like things were collapsing outside to add on to that. Yes, he would remain down here, and hope the thunder wasn't too loud and that it wouldn't get too dark, for he was astraphobic and nyctophobic. He realized that his face felt warm, yet sticky and wet. It was then he noticed how he had been crying. Once he figured this out, his crying seemed to only get worst. He would sleep down here and wait for it to end, that was his plan. But even so, he was still afraid. He never felt so alone until now.

Sample Post:
When Peter first woke up, he felt dizzy with a slight headache - a sign of sleeping for too long. It must have been dark or early in the morning, he was sure. He hadn't meant to stay asleep for so long and it was a mystery as to how he was able to sleep in the first place. Perhaps, he pondered, maybe it was because he was so scared and crying so hard? Whatever it was, remaining in the sewers would not get him anywhere. He wanted to know just what happened outside and if it was still alone just like before.
He reached down to squeeze his foot, flinching at first though he felt no pain. Carefully he got up and placed pressure on the foot. It was fine. Maybe it only needed to be rested? It was silly, the thought of a foot needing to rest. But that seemed to make enough sense for Peter to locate an opening. The latter which led to the opening he fell down from had collapsed during an earthquake. Peter would have to find another. This didn't please him. Not at all. He didn't know just how far he'd have to go and worried about whether he'd recognize the area he'd come out to. He was unfamiliar with his parents' homeland and was used to his fort and areas in England. His adoptive parents' land was almost like a world he'd never seen. Almost. He knew a few places and maybe if he could find a shop he was familiar with, he could locate his parents. Or at least someone he knew. The plan sounded good enough. Peter would go through with it.
As he walked he began to feel alone once more. Not only did the occasional rats and spiders earn a jump or yelp from him but the drip-dropping and the occasional eerie silence reminded him he was the only person down there. He was alone. Should he yell or scream or cry, no one would hear him simply because no one was there.
Wrapping his arms around himself, as if he were hugging himself, he pretended that he wasn't alone. He was just playing hide-and-seek, of course. Any moment a friend of his would jump out and scare him. It would take Peter a moment to realize it's only his friend. And then he'd realize how dumb he looked. They'd both laugh and Peter would be it and then Peter would be the one seeking, not hiding. That's what was going on, he told himself. Any moment. Any minute. Something would jump out.
Nothing did.
Though he saw an opening not far away and at that moment he began to sprint to its direction. He couldn't help but grin, an image in his head appearing. Everyone would be out there. The villagers who spoke in a different language that he never understood but pretended he did and the birds and the cats. His parents. Hell, even his brothers. Even the people he didn't know personally but knew only from afar. They'd all be there, laughing, because everyone looked so scared it was silly.
The thought made him run faster than he thought he could ever accomplish. When he reached the latter, he had practically jumped towards it, grabbing the sides roughly but firmly. He climbed as quickly as he could, missing a step once but ignoring it, too concentrated on getting outside. He pushed at the lid, then shoved. It took effort to get it to move for it was heavy but once it was out of the way, he pulled himself out and beamed.
Only to see there wasn't anyone there. In fact, there were no building which had not almost completely collapsed. Despite the weather being fine, it didn't feel that way. He couldn't tell where he was simply because everything was ruined. He would ask for directions or try and get help but there was no one. He remembered feeling completely alone down in the sewers. He thought that he would never feel so lonely ever again. But now that was only a lie. If anything, Peter felt hopeless and even more alone than he was before. He had no idea what happened while he was down there but he knew it wasn't good. Something in his gut told him that it wasn't over just yet, too. He began to think of all the bad things he could without even knowing it. It just happened. And he wondered if this was some sort of punishment for trying to become a nation? Or maybe it was a punishment for every nation? Maybe it was because at some points, everyone forgot that it was the same planet, the same air, the same water that was being shared?
Peter fell to his knees, too shocked to yell or even cry. He had never thought this would happen. Who thinks about this kind of stuff happening anyway? He was a kid. Worry-free of everything. The only thing he should have to worry about is growing up and becoming a nation everyone admired. But how would that even happen if everyone was dead?
Dead. No, he shouldn't think like that. As soon as the word entered his mind, he knew he had to stop thinking at that point. There was no way the people he knew would be killed by something like this. They were strong, physically and mentally. He looked up to them. If he managed to survive this, this would only be a little punch in the gut for everyone else. They had to be alive.
The only problem was if Peter could find them to prove it.

Did you read the rules? Why would I read England's rules? England sucks. There's no need to go in detail as to why he sucks because he just sucks and he's a horrible brother and his eyebrows are gross. I don't have eyebrows, shut up. There is nothing amazing about him. Rule #12 sucks because it's a bunch of lies. Oh, but you know that Asian? I think her name was uh, Clara. YEAH, HER. She's beautiful. And amazing. And I'm planning to kidnap her and she can be my new pet and we can search for Slenderman together because OH~, it's what I've always dreamed of doing! She needs to record herself moaning for me, ahhh~
Favorite Pairing: You can find this out by talking to me, don't you think? <3
Notes:
Originally, I usually always roleplayed Sealand as a boy who admires the sea and such but had the ironic fear of swimming. Since England has this fear now, I changed it to thunder. I tried my best creating a reason as to why he fears thunder but I don't know, I'm starting to have my doubts. ALSO, THE RP SAMPLE SUCKS OMG.
