Character Information
Country Name: Hellenic Republic or Greece
Human Name: Heracles Karpusi
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality:
Heracles is generally calm, laid back and carefree. He’s more interested in settling down in a grassy pasture somewhere and day dreaming about whatever comes across his mind than having to do something productive like working. However, he does have an interest in uncovering old ruins that were left behind by his mother and refuses to do anything to alter them. Otherwise, Heracles could spend his day laying around and thinking about all sorts of things like being an animal or the great philosophers in Ancient Greece such as Homer.
He doesn’t get very angry about things unless it affects his people in a serious manner; threatening his very being. Despite his relaxed demeanor, he can be extremely determined in this front. It makes him a formidable opponent in war-time because he simply doesn’t want to back-down. He will continue to fight until he is no longer able and even then won’t be an easy captive. He doesn’t to be ruled and killed by tyrants.
Heracles likes talking about his history and will tell whoever is interested in listening (and sometimes those who aren’t) all about it. He enjoys speaking of old Sparta, the ruins of his mother and the gods. He holds a great amount of respect for them. Heracles is a slow speaker, thinking long about a response before finally giving one. He tends to be a pretty good listener so whenever he makes a response it’s usually a well thought out one.

What happened before and shortly after the apocalypse?:
Before the calamity struck, Heracles was doing what he always did: relaxing with his cats. The summer’s had been a little hotter than usual, and the winters a little colder. The seas had been harsh on the sailing ships but other than that, Heracles didn’t notice anything different. Still, something did nag at him every now and then when he sat down to think about the strange change in climate. So long as nothing severe happened, however, he would try not to dwell on it.
Of course, when disaster did strike, Heracles was unsure of what to do. His people panicked as the seas rose over their homes and swept them away and the once pleasant rays of the sun burned hotter than before. He was often wondering what he had done to the gods, for they certainly were the reason behind these disastrous events. He was unsure of what to do, so he tried to help put order into the chaos but it was useless. The once abundance of cats that would snooze around the Parthenon were nothing but carcasses on the ground. His people were constantly rioting and Heracles was unable to calm them. The sea was now the enemy: it had taken much of one of his islands and the pain was tangible. He wondered how long it would take until he was completely consumed as wave after wave beat his lands.
When finally things seemed to calm and the world put upright, Heracles found himself in alien place. Many of the ruins of his mother were gone, all except the Parthenon which sat nearly untouched atop the Athenian Acropolis. Seeing that sign of hope, he realized that he could still go on and fix things.
What are your character's top priorities and goals?
Heracles wants to fix the state of his people. If he can’t bring things back to how they were before the disaster than he will do what he can to make things as habitable in what they have now. Heracles also wants to find out what has happened to the rest of the countries, especially Egypt and Japan. He’s not interested in conquering at all, but he does want to make it out of this craziness without having someone conquer him.
Sample Post:
First Ottoman Empire, now Germany. He had taken on Italy easily; that had been no surprise. He knew that when Germany had arrived, that was when he would need to really step up his game; and he had. He had pulled his militia together and attacked met the other head on. He wouldn’t be taken down without a fight. He would never back down, not again. However, his people were at their limit. Athens had been taken under their control and he was left kneeling before the blonde man as though bowing to a king. He had sucked in a breath as he was knocked over and slumped over on the ground, feeling pathetic. He had fought as hard as he could but it simply wasn’t enough.
Now he was left to starve, praying to the gods for something, anything that would help him. He hid away from his captures. Being held hostage at home meant he knew the area better than they did. He could regroup and pull more men together to take on the tyrants once more. He just needed some time. Heracles wouldn’t allow this anymore than necessary. Unfortunately, it looked grim. The little resources he had were being handed over to Germany for their effort in conquering Russia. The hunger pains in his stomach were little more than twinge now, at the back of his mind. Desperation clung to him like nothing else. All he had was his hope now. He wouldn’t relinquish that for anything. He wouldn’t give up until his strength ebbed away to nothing.
He would continue fighting until, finally, when it all ended, he could lie down on green grass stare up at the clouds and forget this all ever happened.
